Equipment Overview
The Kubota U17 is a 1.73-tonne mini excavator built for tight spaces, offering excellent lifting force for digging, lifting and loading through a powerful and responsive front work group. Innovative meter balance technology, a long tumbler distance and a low centre of gravity give the machine excellent stability, even when working on the side with hydraulic attachments or raising heavy objects. Its compact footprint allows easy transport and operation in narrow alleys, backyards and indoor environments.
Power comes from a 3-cylinder diesel engine producing 17 hp, upgraded from the previous 13 hp rating for more power and reliability. The hydraulic system uses a variable displacement pump for efficient flow control and responsive actuator performance, and the U17 comes standard with a 30-inch bucket while supporting more than 20 compatible attachments, including hydraulic thumbs, breakers, augers and grapples. Bucket digging force reaches 15 kN.
