Equipment Overview
The Kobelco SK17SR is a 1.79-tonne mini excavator built for sites where space is restricted, such as residential areas and industrial premises. A swing boom with side-ditch digging function and zero tailswing radius makes it easy to dig next to walls, and retractable crawlers narrow the machine to as little as 990 mm wide for access to tight urban and industrial sites. The compact upper body has no front overhang, and reinforced frame corners with thick cast iron protectors add durability for demanding, confined-space work.
Power comes from a diesel engine producing 11.3 kW (15.2 hp) SAE net, delivering top-class digging reach and digging depth for its size class. Boosted swing power and a top-class swing speed give shorter cycle times for greater efficiency, and a spring steel cylinder rod guard is standard on the bucket, boom and arm cylinders for extra protection. Like all Kobelco mini excavators, the SK17SR comes with a standard 4-year/4,000-hour full machine warranty.
