Equipment Overview
The XCMG XE155UCR is a 16.7-tonne excavator with an ultra-short tail gyration design, built for excavation, loading, trenching and lifting work on sites where a conventional-swing machine would need more clearance. Premium Kawasaki hydraulic componentry and a Cummins engine give it the power and control expected of a machine in the 15 to 17-tonne class, while the reduced swing footprint improves safety and access on tighter sites. XCMG’s intelligent control system links the engine and hydraulics to optimise fuel efficiency across all working conditions.
Power comes from a Cummins B4.5 diesel, a 4-cylinder engine producing 121 hp (90.2 kW) at 2,200 rpm and 500 Nm of torque at 1,500 rpm, in a Tier 3 configuration for the Australian market. Two variable displacement tandem axial piston pumps feed the hydraulic system, with 7 attachment modes and 4 power modes letting the operator tune flow and pressure from the control panel. Two-speed travel offers a choice between increased torque and higher travel speed.
