Equipment Overview
The Hyundai R145 is a 15-tonne compact-radius excavator, built with an extra-sturdy frame and reinforced superstructure for long service life. Its compact-radius upper structure reduces how far the counterweight swings past the tracks, making it a practical choice for roadside work and sites where a conventional-swing machine would need more clearance. Three engine modes, Power, Standard and Economy, let the operator trade maximum output for lower fuel use depending on the job.
Power comes from a Perkins 1204E-E44TA diesel producing around 116 hp (86.5 kW) gross, meeting EPA Tier 4 Interim emissions standards. A redesigned hydraulic system gives finer control and improved responsiveness over earlier Hyundai excavators, and the Hi-mate Remote Management System lets operators and dealers check the machine’s service and diagnostic status remotely. A colour LCD display in the cab covers temperature, fuel level and other maintenance items at a glance.
