Equipment Overview

The Takeuchi TB2150 is a 15.1-tonne excavator, the largest and most capable machine in Takeuchi’s line-up. A pivot boom configuration lets it dig in offset left and right positions much like Takeuchi’s smaller excavators, and up to four auxiliary hydraulic circuits make it a versatile attachment platform. A wraparound counterweight protects the engine and hydraulic components from damage, and boom and arm holding valves add protection when working with heavy attachments.

Power comes from a Deutz TCD3.6L4 engine, a 3.6-litre turbocharged diesel producing 85 kW at 2,000 rpm and 460 Nm of torque at 1,600 rpm, meeting EU Stage V and EPA Tier 4 emissions standards through a DOC, DPF and SCR aftertreatment system. Three working modes, Standard, Eco and High Altitude, let the operator match engine output to the task, and 2-speed travel with automatic shift gives torque on demand when pushing, climbing or turning at high speed.
