The Sumitomo SH235X is a 25.1-tonne minimum swing radius excavator, built to bring the power of a mid-sized machine to tight urban sites where space would normally limit contractors to something much smaller. Power comes from an Isuzu GI-4HK1X engine, a 5.193-litre diesel producing 117.3 kW at 1,800 rpm. Sumitomo’s SPACE 5+ engine system paired with the SIH:S+ hydraulic system delivers up to a 29% fuel saving compared with the previous DASH 3B generation. A reinforced safety cabin keeps cabin deformation to a minimum in the event of a rollover, and ground-level access to the engine bay makes daily servicing straightforward.
