Equipment Overview

The Kubota K008 is a super-compact mini excavator with an operating weight of 980 kg, built for jobs where even a 1-tonne machine is too wide to fit. A hydraulically adjustable track gauge narrows the machine to 700 mm for passing through doorways and gates, then widens back out to 860 mm for a 15% stability gain when running a hydraulic breaker. Digging depth reaches 1.72 m, enough for most residential trenching and small foundation work.

Power comes from a Kubota D722-BH-5 engine, a water-cooled 3-cylinder diesel using Kubota’s E-TVCS combustion system to reduce exhaust emissions, noise and vibration, rated at 7.4 kW (10.2 PS) at 2,050 rpm. Drive is hydrostatic, through a gear pump-fed hydraulic circuit, running on 180 mm rubber tracks. Hydraulic hoses are routed inside the boom for protection, and a foldable ROPS lets the machine pass under low doorways during transport.
