Parking and Shutting Down Safely
Forklift parking starts on level, stable ground: park the forklift, lower the forks fully to the ground, and tilt the mast forward slightly so the fork tips sit flat. Engage the parking brake, put the forklift in neutral, and turn off the engine or isolate an electric forklift’s battery before leaving the seat.
