Equipment Overview
The Doosan DX140LC is a 14.4-tonne crawler excavator built for general construction, utility installation and site preparation work. Its long undercarriage adds stability for digging and lifting, and Smart Power Control automatically matches engine output to the digging load to keep fuel consumption down without sacrificing cycle times. Power comes from a Develon D34 4-cylinder diesel producing 87.2 kW (117 hp) at 2,000 rpm, meeting EU Stage V emissions standards without exhaust gas recirculation, instead using increased combustion air to control particulates. Drive is through steel tracks with 600 mm shoes, and a new-generation hydraulic main valve improves the machine’s response and fuel efficiency over earlier generations.
