Equipment Overview
The CAT 313 is a 12.7-tonne excavator from Caterpillar’s current small excavator line-up, built to move material with speed and precision while keeping fuel and maintenance costs down. Standard Cat Grade with 2D and Cat Payload technology are built in to help operators hit grade and load targets without guesswork, and the excavator is rated up to 10% more fuel efficient than the 313F it replaces. It’s suited to general excavation, trenching and grading work where all-day productivity matters.
The Cat C3.6 engine produces 82 kW gross (80.9 kW net) at 2,400 rpm, meeting EPA Tier 4 Final, EU Stage V and Japan 2014 emissions standards. Three selectable engine modes, Power, Smart and Eco, match engine output to the digging task automatically, and an electric main control valve improves hydraulic response. The machine runs standard high-ambient cooling to 52°C and cold-start capability to -25°C, with automatic two-speed travel as standard.
