The XCMG XS123 – a top-notch, high-performance smooth-drum vibratory roller built to deliver precision soil compaction in road construction, infrastructure projects, and big earthworks. Its all about being designed to be super efficient, totally reliable and comfortable to operate. And when it comes to compacting – this thing can do it with ease on just about any material: granular, semi-cohesive, or even the really tough to compact stuff – it’s that versatile. Its a great choice for building highways, putting up embankments or laying foundations for some big industrial project.
Its powered by a beefy Cummins QSF3.8 turbocharged diesel engine that pumps out plenty of power without wasting fuel and is pretty quiet to boot – great for working in urban areas. The hydrostatic drive system is some next level tech with a variable-displacement pump & constant-displacement motor that gives you silky smooth traction, lets the XS123 climb like a beast & gives you total control even on tricky ground.
You also get 2 vibration settings – one for laying down the big compaction & another for finishing off the job in finer detail. We are talking anything from a pretty heavy 1.8mm down to a nice light 0.9mm. With that big engine under the bonnet & a drum was of 2,130mm, the XS123 can dish out some pretty serious compaction forces – as in up to 280kN – which is impressive to say the least.
The build quality is solid – a reinforced frame & heavy-duty drum that can take the punishment of some pretty demanding working environments. Thats also going to give the machine a long, long service life.
The ROPS/FOPS certified cab is a real comfortable spot to spend some time – good visibility all round, all the controls are nice & easy to get at, and even the air conditioning is up to the job. And if your more of a DIY kind of person, theres easy access to the service panels & all the maintenance bits are nice & easy to find. When it all comes right down to it the XCMG XS123 is just a solid dependable choice for the pros who need a good compactor for the job.
