Equipment Overview
The XCMG XS123 is a single drum roller with a smooth drum, with a 2,130 mm drum width. It has an operating weight of 12,000 kg, used mainly for compaction of base course, sub-base course and stone filling on high-speed railway, highway, airport, harbour, dam and industrial construction sites.
Power comes from a Cummins QSB4.5 engine producing 97 kW (130 hp) at 2,300 rpm, meeting EU Stage III emissions. An imported closed hydraulic drive system with a variable displacement pump and motor gives two infinitely variable gears (0–5 km/h and 0–10.8 km/h) for optimised working speeds, and the roller has a minimum turning radius of 6,800 mm with 45% theoretical gradeability. A patented double-framework oil seal and four-point support vibration bearing system give a service life of up to 10,000 hours, and pad foot and smooth drum options let the machine be configured to different working conditions.
