Powered by a 217-hp (162-kW) Komatsu SAA6D114E-6 engine, the D65 shows great power and delivers excellent pushing performance without the need of a time-consuming engine-pump control circuit application previously required. It is fitted with auto transmission and torque converter lock-up, providing smooth shifting, excellent fuel economy and a nimble ground drive resulting in power management at work.

The machine includes a standard undercarriage with 24-inch wide shoes, ensuring footprints in firm to semi-soft material. The D65 is powered by an up to 3.7 liter, 134 hp direct-injection, six-cylinder Komatsu SAA6D114E engine that is simple to field service yet packed full of power to move mountains of material while keeping grades on the money.
