The Cat D6 is a medium dozer built for production dozing and fine grading, part of Caterpillar’s Next Generation D1–D11 dozer range and the successor to the D6T. A fully automatic 4-speed powershift transmission with a lock-up clutch continuously matches gear and engine speed to the load, and a differential steering system keeps full power to both tracks through turns for tight, high-traction cornering with a loaded blade. A rear-mounted parallelogram ripper with up to three shank positions is available for scarifying compacted or rocky ground.
