The Doosan DX420LC is a 42.9-tonne excavator, a leader in the 40 to 50-metric-tonne size class, built for impressive digging force in standard arm or long arm configurations. A one-touch power boost momentarily amplifies hydraulic power to push through tough digging conditions, and ultra-hard wear plates bolted to the end of the arm add durability. Fast cycle times, strong swing torque and improved lifting capacity over earlier generations help the machine move more material in a day’s work.
Power comes from a Tier 4-compliant Doosan diesel producing 257 kW (344.6 hp) at 1,800 rpm. D-ECOPOWER, Smart Power Control and the Electronic Power Optimizing System work together to optimise productivity while reducing fuel consumption, and auto shutdown and auto idle features further lower fuel usage. Four selectable power modes and a fine swing function give the operator control across a range of lifting and digging applications, and an optional intelligent floating boom mode follows ground contours without using hydraulic flow.
