Equipment Overview
The Cat 330 is a 31.4-tonne Next Generation excavator built for site prep, utility work and mass excavation, delivering more digging force and larger buckets than the 330F it replaces. A larger 6,700 kg counterweight lifts nearly 10% more than the previous generation, and standard technologies including Cat Grade with 2D, Cat Payload, Auto Dig Boost and Auto Heavy Lift help operators dig with precision and load faster. The 330 is rated to move up to 20% more material per unit of fuel than the 330F.
Power comes from a Cat C7.1 engine producing 204 kW gross (194 kW net), meeting EPA Tier 4 Final, EU Stage V, Japan 2014 and Korea Tier 4 Final emissions standards through a maintenance-free aftertreatment system. Smart mode automatically matches engine and hydraulic power to digging conditions, and a new main control valve eliminates pilot lines to reduce pressure losses and fuel consumption. Bucket digging force reaches 157 kN.
