Equipment Overview

The Komatsu WA900 is a mining-class wheel loader, one of the largest in Komatsu’s WA wheel loader range, current as the WA900-8 (sold in Australia as the WA900-8R). It delivers 671 kW (899 hp) net at 2,050 rpm and a 116,400 kg operating weight, built for the highest-production mine and quarry loading applications with an 11.5–13 m³ bucket capacity, able to load 70- to 150-ton haul trucks.

Power comes from a Komatsu SAA12V140E-7 12-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, driving a full-powershift transmission through a 4WD chassis with a reinforced Z-bar loader linkage for excellent breakout force in tough digging applications. Komatsu SmartLoader Logic automatically switches between Economy and Power modes based on demand, and KomVision with radar obstacle detection gives a bird’s-eye view using a 6-camera system.
