Equipment Overview
The Cat D11 is an extra-large dozer built for the highest-production earthmoving and mining applications, part of Caterpillar’s D1–D11 dozer range. It has 634 kW (850 hp) of net forward power, an operating weight of 106,614 kg with the standard SU blade and single-shank ripper fitted, and a 27.2 m³ blade capacity, suited to overburden removal, bulk earthmoving, and the largest mine site production applications.
Power comes from the Cat C32B engine, offered in this Tier 4 Final/EU Stage V rating or a Tier 2 equivalent alternative, and delivers 714 kW (957 hp) in reverse for faster non-productive travel between passes. A three-speed electronic powershift transmission pairs with a stator clutch torque divider that automatically frees up under low load for higher drivetrain efficiency, and load-sensing hydraulics deliver more power to the dozer for increased responsiveness. Single-shank, single-shank deep ripping, or multi-shank rippers are available, alongside specialty blades for coal, reclamation, and carry-dozer applications.
