Equipment Overview
The Thwaites 3T is a site dumper built for construction site material handling, the smallest model in Thwaites’ range below the 6T and 9T. It carries a 3-tonne rated payload with a 180-degree swivel skip that tips to a 1,995 mm discharge height, suited to residential building sites and civil works where full-size dumpers can’t manoeuvre or fit through the gate.
The 3T runs on a hydrostatic transmission driving all four wheels, reaching a top speed of 24 km/h on-site. A foldable, certified ROPS bar protects the operator while keeping the machine’s transport height low, and the articulation and oscillation joint lets the machine keep all four wheels on the ground across uneven terrain. At only 1,770 mm wide, the 3T fits through gateways and site access points too narrow for larger dumpers, and a suspension seat with seatbelt keeps the operator comfortable over rough ground.
