With its heavy duty, high capacity rigid-frame dumper; the Komatsu HD1500 has been designed and engineered for high-production mining, quarrying and large earthmoving applications. Features include a formidable Komatsu SDA16V160 motor that produces up to 1,475 horsepower, which allows it to haul huge payloads over long cycles and steep grades.

The HD1500 is designed for performance and reliability and has a payload capacity of around 142 metric tonnes (157 US tons) and a heaped body capacity of 96 m³ (125.6 yd³). It is purpose-built to withstand severe operating environments without compromise in stability or ride comfort, with a durable frame and heavy-duty chassis and suspension set up to cope with punishment.

ALL4 7-speed automaticlong: This transmission comes with a lock-up torque converter, allowing for rapid and precise gear changes, reducing fuel consumption, while improving overall performance in full-load operation. It allows the truck to operate safely and in a controlled manner when going downhill, equipped with hydraulically actuated multiple-disc brakes, advanced retardation systems, and braking systems.

The ROPS/FOPS certified, spacious cab adds comfort and visibility with an ergonomic layout, low interior sound levels, and advanced machine monitoring features for displaying important data and diagnostics on the machine itself.
