Equipment Overview
The Hitachi ZX890 is an 82-tonne excavator built to increase productivity and profitability in mining and quarrying operations, with generous swing torque, powerful digging force and solid lifting capacity in one built-to-last machine. Reinforced-parts variants are available for digging and loading the heaviest materials. Hitachi’s HIOS V hydraulic system delivers up to 20% reduced fuel consumption compared with previous models, along with improved front speed and increased engine output.
Power comes from an Isuzu engine producing 380 kW (510 hp) net, giving the machine strong, sustained performance for continuous heavy-duty operation. Bucket capacity ranges from 3 to 5.3 m³, with a 4.5 m³ standard bucket, and bucket digging force reaches 402 kN. Reduced noise and low vibration levels keep the cab comfortable through long shifts, and Hitachi’s Aerial Angle camera system gives excellent visibility of the job site.
