The XCMG XS123PD is a top-of-the-line padfoot single-drum vibratory roller, made to tackle really tough compaction jobs on highways, airports, dams and huge infrastructure projects. Part of XCMGs super reliable XS123 series, the PD model has a padfoot design that’s perfect for pretty sticky soils, really knits the ground down and packs in density in tough spots.
Running on a big ol’ Cummins QSF3.8 diesel engine, the XS123PD cranks out serious horsepower while keeping emissions and noise to a minimum. Its hydrostatic drive system has a clever variable-displacement pump & constant-displacement motor combo that makes for silky-smooth traction, great gradeability, and ultra precise control even when you’re navigating steep or uneven terrain. The dual-frequency vibrators give you a choice of two different amplitudes – 1.8mm and 0.9mm, and can dish out up to 280kN of centrifugal force for fast & uniform compaction.
Coming in at a respectable 12,000kg operating weight & 2130mm drum width, this thing is built to get the job done fast, yet it’s still transport-friendly. The ROPS/FOPS certified cab’s got all the bells & whistles too – we’re talking ergonomic controls, comfy suspension seat, and a super efficient hvac system to keep the operator happy.
