Komatsu’s D155AX is a large dozer designed for heavy-duty, high-volume earth moving, bulk site development, mining support, and large-scale civil construction projects. Designed to provide an extremely powerful push and long-lasting reliability, this equipment can be seen on many of today’s large-scale job sites. These include; but are not limited to; land clearing, road construction, dam building, quarries, and large-scale cut and fill. All of these job sites require reliable, long-lasting equipment capable of producing high volumes of material over extended periods.
The D155AX has a high output Komatsu diesel engine which provides excellent torque as well as fuel efficiency at constant heavy load conditions. The advanced powershift transmission combined with its rugged drivetrain provide a seamless flow of power that will allow the dozer to consistently produce forceful traction and smooth, consistent operation regardless of the angle of the grade, type of ground or other environmental factors.
As well as providing a large amount of torque to the wheels, the heavy-duty track design also minimizes downtime associated with replacement of wear parts. In addition to being designed to operate in harsh environments, it is also designed to maximize the lifespan of each piece of equipment and minimize maintenance costs.
The cab is spacious and provides good visibility of the blade and surrounding area as well as comfort for long hours. The controls are ergonomically laid out and low noise levels make for a better working environment than some other types of equipment. Additionally, responsive steering along with precise blade control enables the operator to accurately level the ground with maximum production rates when performing bulk earthwork operations.
