Equipment Overview
The JCB 714 is an articulated dump truck built for off-road hauling across broken, uneven ground, the smallest model in JCB’s articulated truck range below the 718 and 722. It carries a 13-tonne rated payload and a 7.35 m³ heaped body, producing 107 kW of power, suited to construction, quarrying, and civil earthworks sites too tight or rough for a full-size mining-class truck to access.
Power comes from a Cummins six-cylinder diesel engine, turbocharged and charge-cooled, rated at 107 kW (143 hp). A remote-mount smoothshift transmission with integral torque converter shifts through six forward and three reverse gears, available in manual or automatic selection, and the operator can switch between two- and four-wheel drive electrically to suit the ground conditions. Pad-mounted axles with a limited-slip differential help put that power down on soft or slippery terrain.
