Equipment Overview
The JCB 5CX is a backhoe loader built for general construction, utility, and civil earthmoving work, the highest-specification model in JCB’s 3CX and 4CX backhoe loader range alongside the 3CX, 3CX Plus, 3CX Pro, 4CX Plus, and 4CX Pro. It delivers 81 kW (109 hp) of gross engine power and an 8,880 kg operating weight with the extended dipper fitted as standard, suited to deep trenching, civil infrastructure, and bulk material handling on Australian sites.
Power comes from a JCB Dieselmax 4.8-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged and intercooled engine meeting Stage V emission standards, delivering 516 N·m of torque. A 6-speed Autoshift transmission with standard TorqueLock drives all four wheels, with all-wheel steer and crab steer adding manoeuvrability around obstacles. The 1.3 m³ six-in-one loader shovel and extended dipper give the 5CX the largest dig depth and reach in JCB’s backhoe loader range.
