Equipment Overview
The Dynapac CS142 is a static three-drum roller built for asphalt compaction, part of Dynapac’s CS series of vibration-free compactors. It has an operating weight of 11,000 kg (up to 13,200 kg ballasted) and a 2,100 mm compaction width, built to compact asphalt courses of 25–50 mm close to buildings, on bridges and other sites where ground vibration has to be avoided.
Power comes from a Deutz TD 3.6 turbo-diesel engine producing 55 kW (74 hp) at 2,200 rpm, meeting EU Stage IIIB and US EPA Tier 4 Final emissions standards. The chassis is split into a 6,800 kg front module and a 6,000 kg rear module joined by an articulated, oscillating hitch, and each of the three drums is driven by its own hydrostatic motor. A failsafe multidisc parking brake covers all three drums, and the machine carries a 110-litre fuel tank; working speed tops out at 10 km/h.
