Equipment Overview
The Cat 854 is a wheel dozer built for large-scale mining and heavy-duty dozing, the largest model in Caterpillar’s wheel dozer line. A Cat planetary powershift transmission with an impeller clutch torque converter, lock-up clutch, and rimpull control system delivers up to 25.1 km/h in reverse, and pilot-operated, load-sensing steering gives the articulated frame a 9.55 m minimum turning radius over the blade. Semi-U, heavy-duty Semi-U, and coal blade options are available, up to 44.8 m³ capacity.
