Soil Compactors

A soil compactor is a construction machine used to compact loose soil and gravel such as asphalt during construction projects like roads and buildings. It usually consists of a large drum or plate that compacts by vibrating or rolling in order to remove air pockets and gain soil density. There are different types of there rollers, such as padfoot rollers, smooth drum rollers, and sheepsfoot compactors, all of which have different projects and terrain they are used for. They are a critical component of earthworks, road construction and foundation works to ensure the stability of surface soil and to prevent settling in the future.
