The Sany SSR120C is a high-performance single-drum roller designed to deliver cutting-edge compaction in the toughest road construction and civil works environments – and in those massive infrastructure projects were efficiency really counts. It seamlessly brings together brute power, remarkable stability and operator comfort to deliver uncompromising compaction results time after time – regardless of the kind of work site it finds itself on.
Powered by a 160 horsepower Cummins turbocharged engine – that’s a QSB4.5 to you – the SSR120C gives you the torque, fuel efficiency and reliability to run flat out 24-7. The advanced system that drives its vibrating drums makes use of not one but two frequencies (32 and 36 Hz) and two amplitudes (1 point 8 and 0 point 9 mm) – that’s right dual frequency, dual amplitude – putting down a staggering 280 kilo-newtons of centrifugal force which gives you deep, uniform compaction of no matter how tough the soil.
At 12,000 kg, and with a drum width of 2,130 mm, the SSR120C strikes that perfect balance between getting the job done and doing it with an ease that means you can get on with other things. And, at a 50% gradeability , you can handle even the most uneven ground with no fuss – while the roller’s smooth drum finish gives you the kind of surface finish you need for road base and asphalt.
The cab, by the way, is FOPS/ROPS certified – all that being a fancy way of saying it is incredibly safe and comfortable to operate. You get great visibility, climate control, very low vibration levels and controls that are made for the way you work. When it comes to servicing the thing – well it’s a breeze with all the service points you need in easy reach, plus centralised lubrication and bearings that’ll last and last.
So there you have it, the Sany SSR120C – marrying raw power, precision engineering and reliability in a package that delivers uncompromising compaction performance and keeps operators happy – that’s the sort of machine you need for the the really tough construction and infrastructure jobs.
